About
"The Little Deli"
Our story begins in the kitchen of Joy and Sonny de Leon. They enjoyed cooking Spanish and Italian family recipes at home for their three children and making homemade sausages to share with neighbors and friends. Food is best enjoyed with the people you love, after all.
With Sonny's background in cattle ranching and business, and Joy's passion for baking and the culinary arts, they opened the doors of the first Poco Deli restaurant in Kapitolyo, Pasig in 2008.
Before the opening, an Italian wine supplier commented on the coziness of our little deli - "Un poco deli" - and the name Poco Deli came to be.
Cultural inspiration
Over the years, they travelled the world and immersed themselves in new cultures and cuisines, which inspired the creation of new dishes. Combined with recipes from family archives, our current menu offers a window to the significance of high quality ingredients and diverse cultural influences in the hearts of our founders.
Our Pastrami sandwich pays homage to the iconic Katz Deli in New York City.
Mom's Pot Roast is a generational family recipe, promising the comfort of a family dinner at home.
Each location is uniquely decorated with vintage kitchenware from their travels, reflecting the influence of old-world cooking methods.
Where we are now
From our humble beginnings as a little neighborhood deli 16 years ago, Poco Deli has expanded to an award-winning restaurant with five locations across Metro Manila, Boracay, and Coron.
Our commitment to creating food using traditional methods like slow-cooking and wood-smoking remains. All our dishes are still carefully crafted in-house to ensure our customers enjoy food of the same quality and comfort Joy and Sonny once learned to make in their home kitchen.
